A friendly hello to all visitors to our website!*

Holger

We are Holger and Silke from Nettetal on the Lower Rhine.

Holger is the versatile all-rounder of the two of us. Well-read, articulate and creative - always keeping his goal firmly in sight. Photography, especially analogue photography, is his great passion. With his knowledge of industrial property rights and his research into the state of the art, he ensures that we do not document the "invention of the wheel" a second or third time.

Silke

My name is Silke and I like to try out lots of different things. There's no such thing as "not being able to" (for now). "Then I'll just have to learn!" is my motto. I always think positively and am confident that I can achieve anything I set out to do. My passions are film editing, graphic design and writing novels (my debut science fiction novel can be found on sibonet.de).

How our traditura® research project began

A few years ago, after graduating with a degree in business administration, I worked as a self-employed controller and got to know various agricultural and livestock food production companies. In order to be able to advise them not only commercially but also professionally, I began studying food science at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences at the same time. However, I soon realised that I wanted to give my passion for food more free reign.

Holger supported my plan and so I gave up my company. But it didn't stop there. Our thoughts, fuelled by the magic of a new beginning, penetrated deeper and deeper into our everyday lives. In the end, we were no longer just working on a concept for my professional future, but on a joint research project. We agreed that even today there are still undocumented plant cultivation, hunting and animal breeding methods on earth, the description and preservation of which represent a benefit for us humans. The idea of documenting traditional methods of primary food production in climatically challenging areas of the world in photographs and films matured...

And after a long and intensive period of preparation, we are officially launching our research project "traditura - research on traditional methods of food production" with the publication of this website.
